The roadmap to reopening: free masterclass training series launches
As news of a potential roadmap out of lockdown emerges, hospitality operators are being offered free online training for staff by some of the brightest brains in the industry.
Born out of a desire to support the sector to come back swinging post-lockdown, through inspiration and education, the free training is being provided by leading hospitality CRM and gift card platforms, Airship and Toggle, delivered in partnership with industry professionals and technology partners. The masterclass series is particularly timely for furloughed staff, allowing operators a way to keep them engaged and offer upskilling opportunities.
The webinars will take place every Thursday at 1pm, with sessions confirmed so far covering the key steps to ensure interaction with enquiries converts to bookings; the life cycle of a bill; how to unlock additional revenue through B2B channels; how reservation tech is responding to changing consumer behaviour; pricing to avoid leaving money on the table; and ensuring your business is environmentally sustainable post-covid. More sessions will be announced in the coming week on the topics of social media, sales and more. See the full list of sessions and register for free here.
Dan Brookman, CEO at Airship and Toggle, said: “It is a real pleasure to be able to offer such a diverse range of training opportunities to the hospitality industry as part of our #ComeBackStrong campaign. We know that lots of hospitality staff have been on furlough for a long time now, and are keen to help engage and motivate them through opportunities for learning. We’re looking forward to the public getting reacquainted with our incredible sector post-lockdown, and we’re keen to support in every way that we can. And of course, a huge thanks to our wonderful Professionals and partners who will be sharing their valuable expertise through these webinars.”
The free masterclass series is part of the #ComeBackStrong knowledge-transfer campaign, which aims to educate and inspire hospitality professionals whilst the sector is shuttered. In addition to the training classes, operators can benefit from up to four months of free access to Airship, a powerful customer data management and broadcast platform that drives revenue through intelligent customer journeys; and Toggle, an intuitive gift card SaaS which integrates with existing platforms to enable operators to easily sell gift cards, products and experiences directly to customers. The platforms will also be launching an insight report in March, exploring consumer attitudes towards hospitality and the post-Covid opportunities for the sector.
