You can now send gift cards by SMS, straight to someone’s mobile. No inbox. No letterbox. Just a simple text message with a personalised link to a secure, branded landing page.
This new SMS gift card delivery option is designed to meet the way people really communicate today: fast, direct, and mobile-first.

How it works: The SMS gift card journey
Toggle’s SMS delivery works as an additional fulfilment method, alongside email and post, with zero setup required from your team.
Here’s what happens:
At checkout:
- Guest selects “Send to someone else”
- They enter the recipient’s name and mobile number
- If they choose SMS, we display the 30p delivery charge clearly
- If purchasing for themselves, guests can also send a copy via SMS to themselves
After purchase:
Toggle sends an SMS
The text includes:
- Your brand name (“You’ve received a gift from The Joiners Kitchen”)
- A secure shortlink to the gift card
- Guests open the link to a fully branded landing page
The gift card landing page
The SMS link opens a secure, mobile-friendly landing page that’s fully themed to your webshop.
🔐 Recipients are asked to enter their security code to unlock the gift
The page shows:
- Gift card value or experience name
- Expiry date and real time balance
- A personal message from the sender
- A call to action, e.g. ‘Book Now’
- Also add: “Like this gift? Send your own”, helping drive further purchases
- Redemption details, including full card number and QR code
- Option to add to Apple or Google Wallet, depending on device
